The Oshawa Kicks are excited to announce Walking Soccer as part of our Clubs program lineup. This is a great opportunity for those 55+ still interested in playing soccer, be it at a lower impact and slower pace. The benefits provided are an active lifestyle and a safe, fun social environment.
The rules are simple;
- Walking only, running with the ball results in a turnover of possession
- No contact, result will be a free kick for the opposing team
- Any free kicks shall be indirect (you can’t shoot directly at goal)
- Play will be either 5v5 or 7v7 matches based on participant numbers
- Matches are 2 x 25 minute half’s with a 5 minute halftime
- All shots and passes must remain below shoulder height
- The field will be marked with a penalty area around the goal, only the goalkeeper is allowed in this area. Shots must be taken from outside this area
- Return to play for balls out the end are goal kicks, out from the sides will be kick ins
- Substitutions are allowed at any time during the match
