October 20th, 2023 - Toronto, ON. This week, the Oshawa Kicks 2009 Boys team captured the TOSL I-Model C2 Championship following their 4-0 victory over Whitby FC on Wednesday. 

The 2009 Boys had many strong performances throughout the season including  a season opening 6-2 win against NYSA Emery. They continued their dominant play, beating SC Toronto 5-0 and coming out victorious in a tightly contested 2-1 victory against Toronto High Park FC!

The team was led offensively by three players that finished top 10 in league scoring:

• Orvis McDowell - 10 goals - 2nd in league scoring
• Jude Jones - 8 goals - 5th in league scoring
• Gustavo Cardoso - 7 goals - 6th in league scoring

Goalkeeper Luca Cogliano finished 3rd in the league with three shutouts throughout the season!

The 2009 Boys have advanced to the U14 Boys I-Model C2 Finals against Vaughan SC, the winners of the YRSL I-Model C2 Division. The championship game will be this Saturday, October 21st at 11:00 am at Concord Thornhill Park.
