May 3rd, 2023 - Chester, NY. Calem Mason announces commitment to Word of Life Huskies Men's Soccer team!

We are extremely proud to share the news that Oshawa Kicks 2005 Boys team member, Calem Mason has announced his commitment to continue his athletic and academic career attending the Word of Life Bible Institute and joining the WOLBI Huskies Men's Soccer Program based out of Chester NY.

Last season Calem was a key contributor for the 2005 Boys team who won the U17 Boys I-Model C1 League Championship and made it to the Ontario Cup semifinals.

His ten goals were good for second on his team and sixth in league scoring. He also scored an important goal in their league finals match to help propel the team to victory.

Here are some words from the WOLBI Huskies:

"Calem is an incredibly versatile player, capable of playing various midfield positions and across the front line. [He] brings a wealth of high-level soccer experience to the Huskies and we are excited for him to join the squad as one of the first official recruits of the incoming class. He is going to bring a standard of excellence to our team, both on and off the field."

Calem will be furthering his education at Word of Life studying Biblical Theology. He has also been accepted to the Criminology Program at Ontario Tech University but will defer one year to attend Word of Life planning to start at OTU in the Fall of 2024.

Calem has made his way through the entire player pathway here at the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club and we are immensely proud of his accomplishments through his many years at the club.

Please join us in congratulating Calem on this remarkable achievement. We wish you all the best in your future athletic and academic endeavours.
