July 20th, 2023 - Wakefield, RI. The Oshawa Kicks 2005 Girls team displayed incredible resilience at the Seaside Classic in Rhode Island last weekend.

The 2005 Girls started the tournament strong with two games on Saturday. They began their weekend with a solid 2-0 victory against Clinton. Next up, was a match against the host club, South County YSC where the girls cruised to a 4-0 victory! Moving onto Sunday, the 2005 Girls needed one more win to secure their place in the finals. They won another commanding game by a score of 4-1 against the Bristol Huskies!

The Seaside Classic finals were set with a rematch between the Oshawa Kicks 2005 Girls and the Bristol Huskies. They found themselves trailing 2-0 in the championship match. Instead of giving up, they fought hard, showing great resliliancy. They scored twice, tying the game 2-2 and forcing a penalty shootout. In an intense penalty shootout, the 2005 Girls fell short. Despite their determination and incredible resilience, they had to settle for second place.
