July 9th, 2023 - New York, NY.  The Oshawa Kicks 2006 Boys Red team are your U17 Boys Premier Division NYC Cup Champions! 

Playing on the scenic Randall's Island in the heart of downtown New York City, our 2006 Boys faced some steep competition defeating teams from as far away as Liverpool, UK. en route to their tournament victory! 

The team's weekend started with a Friday afternoon matchup against East Islip SC, a local club from New York. They won 2-1 with goals scored by Eric Kurhan and Nathan Harrison-Blowers. 

Moving to Saturday, their schedule had an early 8:30 am game vs Steel United, a Dutch Academy from New Jersey. The boys prevailed again securing a 2-0 victory with both goals being scored by Brandon Tracey. 

Saturday afternoon was a much-anticipated matchup vs Everton College from Liverpool, UK. The team was able to swiftly handle business beating the European squad 5-0. Goals were scored by Dominic Legall, Brandon Tracey, Tyler Lucas, Isaiah Starr-Miller, and Ryad El-Khatib. 

This concluded pool play and had the Oshawa Kicks Team sitting atop their bracket as the only undefeated team in the entire group, guaranteeing a spot in the finals. 

The other bracket saw the team's last opponent, Everton College finishing first, setting up a rematch in the finals. The team came prepared for an 11:00 am final match easily dispatching the Everton squad by a score of 7-0 to secure the tournament win!

As part of this win, the team has also earned a free entry to the Desert Super Cup in Arizona this fall!
