May 5, 2023 - Oshawa ON. The Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club, Durham Region Soccer Association, and the City of Oshawa are excited to welcome 120+ festival-aged teams (U8-U12) to our City this weekend for the 20th annual Frank Sobil Spring Classic.

Festival games will be played over the course of the weekend, with our Festival Headquarters located at the Oshawa Civic and Recreational Complex.

Hundreds of teams from across Ontario will be in attendance to officially kick off their 2023 Outdoor Seasons with us. We are excited to welcome everyone, and cannot wait for a great weekend celebrating the sport on and off the pitch! The success on the pitch is complemented by the millions of dollars of economic impact to the City, and its wonderful group of restaurants, entertainment venues, retail shops, and local businesses.

Team coaches or managers can check-in today, Friday, May 5th at our offices located at 1401 Phillip Murray Ave. between 4 pm and 8 pm.

Please check your email to review specific details relating to team check-in.

Land Acknowledgment

The City of Oshawa is situated on land steeped in rich Indigenous history and culture that is the present-day home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. We acknowledge that we live and work on land covered within the Williams Treaties, which has been the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee Nations, among many other Indigenous nations, who have utilized this territory for trade and commerce for time immemorial.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the many Indigenous nations who have cared for the lands and waters from the beginning of time and still do so today. We are grateful for the opportunity to live and work on their territory.

We are committed to understanding the truth of our shared history, confronting our past and present, and building a better future together in true reconciliation.
