Oshawa Kicks Renegades Win OWSL League Title

August 2nd, 2022 - Oshawa ON. The Oshawa Kicks Renegades were victorious in their regular season finale to secure the Ontario Women's Soccer League U21 Provincial Elite League Title.

Playing host to King City in their regular season finale, the Renegades were able to down their opponent by a score of 4-1 earning them a regular season record of 9-1-2. That was good for 28 points clearing the second place team by a total of 10 points. They outscored their opposition 27-15 generating a +/- of +12. 

Playing in the Provincial Elite Division of the OWSL (highest in the leagues current format), the Renegades matched up against teams from all over the GTA and surrounding areas including Athlete Institute FC, (Mono) King City Royals, (King City) Paris FC, (Paris) and FC Durham Academy (Oshawa).

Led offensively by Jessica Emmerton who amassed 8 goals, finishing in 2nd place in league scoring, the team also saw tremendous contributions from Katarina Kraft (4), Alex Ellis, Brooke Chebry, Natalie Maruna, and Katharine S. all with 2 goals and Emma Desilva, Lauryn Barr, Makenna Mann, and Meara Cleverdon all chipping in with 1 goal. 

The team was backstopped by Hunter Jones whos 3 shutouts tied for the league lead!
