August 3rd, 2022 - Oshawa ON. Our 2004 Girls conclude their regular season on the road in final match vs Woodbridge SC this evening.

The 2004 Girls team will look to wrap up a fantastic regular season with a final match victory over Woodbridge. The team currently sits with an OWSL regular season record of 10-1 which is good for 2nd place in the Central Region East Division standings (currently missing out on first place only due to their +/- rating).

Led offensively and in goal by a group of outstanding efforts, the team's leading goal scorers include Katharine S. (12), Nicole P. (9), Mackenzie S. (9), Kate B. (6) and April D. (5). Backstopping the team to 5 clean sheets, were Victoria I. (3), and Katarina K. (2).

As the team ends their U18 season, the plan is for the group to return at the U21 level in the spring of 2023, but for some this will be the final OKSC Competitive Club match of their careers. We wish all graduating players all the best in their future soccer and education pathways and will welcome back our graduating U21 players next season when the school year has concluded.

A number of players made it all the way through the OKSC Player Pathway to their U18 Competitive year.  The original core of the team consists of Tamara B, Sara H, Jayden M, Brenna W and Katharine S. who all joined the team in their U8 competitive seasons.

The team has gone through changes over the years picking up players and achieving amazing success along the way. They attended Canadian Nationals in Edmonton and experienced tremendous success in Minnesota at the USA Cup on multiple occasions.

A full list of highlights include:

  • U13 – Ontario Cup Finalist
  • U13 – USA Cup Weekend Champions & USA Cup Week Finalist
  • U14 – Ontario Cup Semi Finalist
  • U15 – Ontario Cup Champions
  • U15 – 5th place finish at Canadian Club National Championship in Edmonton
  • U16 / 17 – Covid Shortened/Cancelled Seasons
  • U18 - USA Cup Weekend Champions & USA Cup Week Champions
  • U18 - Top 2 regular season finalist playing OWSL U21

We also have one player on the team who has committed to continue playing soccer into their post-secondary career. Congratulations to Victoria I. for committing to Trent University as a goalkeeper within their program.

Special thanks to Coaches Lee Mann and Al Kraft for the determination and dedication with this group over the years.

Everyone has surely have created memories and friendships that will last a life time.

Thanks for a great year ladies! We are excited to have you back with the club next year to continue into your U21 years!
