    Exciting News!

    The Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club is very excited to announce Tristan Forgie as the new Club Head Referee for the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club. Tristan has extensive experience refereeing at some of the highest levels in Ontario for both soccer and hockey and will be a welcome addition to our team!

    He will be taking over match official recruitment, development and scheduling and we plan to work with him to develop a comprehensive plan to build our referee program as a whole moving forward.

    Get to know Tristan

    Tristan was born in Pickering, ON and has been officiating both soccer and hockey for ten years. Tristan has strong ambitions to work his way to the highest levels of officiating in both sports. He looks forward to working with match officials at Oshawa Kicks, as well as, creating opportunities to allow them to become the best they can be.


    For his post-secondary education, Tristan studied Sport Management at Brock University. 

    Officiating Career

    For soccer, Tristan is currently on the League 1 Ontario Match Officials panel, and also officiates OUA, OCAA, and OPDL. He recently upgraded to Regional (Grade 9) and intends to upgrade to Provincial (Grade 10) and onwards. For hockey, Tristan is both a referee and linesperson in the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA), and officiates Junior A, OUA men's hockey, OMHA, and GTHL. 

    Fun Facts

    Tristan's most memorable moment from soccer officiating up to now, is reffing at the OPDL Gary Miller Charity Shield, officiating the U17 Boys Final (Middle), and U17 Girls Final (4th Official), alongside his partner, Angelina Baldino, (4th official and Middle respectively). In hockey, his most memorable moment is officiating at 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island, with officials brought by Hockey Canada from all over the country.
